Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Review

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is a FPS developed by Machine Games and published on October 2017 by Bethesda Softworks. It is set in 1961 and follows the events of the past two Wolfenstein games. Hitler’s Nazi’s won the war. The game play is the same as the previous games. The graphics are a little better and you can now barge through weak walls and squeeze into tight places. Plenty of Nazis to defeat. Some of this game is set in America and shows the Nazi culture’s influence on the American 60’s. There is one level that involves walking through the streets during a Nazi parade. Everything else is how the 1960’s USA should be (except for the Nazi soldiers standing at every street corner).

The game is fun, a bit violent at times. Some of the cut scenes are funny and well done. The game is a little bit short. There is always plenty of action. The story is pretty good and there is lots of notes to read that add to the story. There is some interesting music to be collected which is similar to real life but had a Nazi influence.

It was not too taxing on the computer hardware to run and the sound was good through surround sound headphones. There was some moments in the game where I got a bit stuck but I can overlook that.

7.5/10
